Since then, we have crafted over 10,000 star maps for customers across the UK and around the world, each one a unique and scientifically accurate reconstruction of the night sky for a specific date, time, and place.

We believe a star map should be more than beautiful — it should be true.
Every map we produce is built on three scientific foundations:
Yale Bright Star Catalogue (BSC5) — the most authoritative stellar reference database in existence, maintained by Yale University and covering 9,096 stars with exact positions, magnitudes, and spectral classifications. Every star on your map has a catalogue entry.
NASA JPL Horizons — planetary positions are calculated using the same ephemeris engine used by space missions. When your map shows where Jupiter stood on the night of your birth, those coordinates are accurate to the arcsecond.
IAU Constellation Boundaries — zodiac boundaries follow the official delineations established by the International Astronomical Union, the global authority on astronomical nomenclature since 1919.
How your map is rendered
Our stellar engine is built on D3-Celestial, the open-source astronomical projection library used by researchers and educators worldwide. D3-Celestial translates raw catalogue data into the classic cartographic style you see on our maps — the same visual language found in professional star atlases for over a century.
The result is a map that honours both scientific rigour and the emotional weight of the moment it represents.
